Renewable energy in green ports: towards Zero pollution

Back To Blog

Next June 3 we will know through a Webinar, organized by the Port Authority and Buran Habitat and coordinated by Málagaport, the Puerto Verde initiative that the public body is carrying out together with the European projects of which it is a partner or collaborator.

The content of the program focuses on the environmental challenges faced by a sustainable port, highlighting the use of renewable energy to reduce the impact of port activity and get closer to the goal: Zero Pollution.

The webinar consists of two parts:

  • Presentation of the objectives, projects and lines of action of the Port Authority within the framework of the Puerto Verde initiative.
  • The promotion of renewable energies in ports, taking into account the social, economic and environmental impact of these energies in port environments, taking as an example the project DH2Green on green hydrogen, promoted by Buran Habitat and the Port of Malaga.

The conference will be held on June 3, coinciding with Environment week (Green Week) and within the framework of World Environment Day (June 5).

The format will be online, broadcast in streaming, so it will be possible to interact with the public through a round of questions and debate.

Timetable: 9:30-11:30 a.m.
